Mega Kangaskhan baby Plush

Two entries in a single day, what sorcery is this nghfhfhf.
This girl was made as a commission for someone over at pkmncollectors. I was super happy to be able to make this pokemon, seeing as it's a body type I had wanted to try. The embroidery of the eyes was also a new challenge, seeing as the embroidery part needed to span over two colours, meaning that I couldn't simply hoop a piece of fabric. Iinstead I needed to sew the two colours together and then very carefully position the embroidery to make sure the eyes were symmetrical and the mouth would line up nicely. I hooped only the stabiliser, and used temporary spray adhesive to attach the fabric. Fun, challenging project all in all.

Baby Mega Kangaskhan was made from lavender, brown and yellow minky fabric, with white suedecloth for the nails and machine embroidered and appliqued details. The patches on her tummy and knees are stiffened with quilt batting so that they keep shape nicely.

Oh I'm sorry for the dreary purple background I've been using lately. I really need to get one of those fancy light boxes for photography. :c
